The Scientific Research and Development Office supports scientific research projects under the Regulations on the Scientific Research Projects of the Institutions of Higher Education that entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 10.04.2002.
Academic staff projects with "New Knowledge Production" that could contribute to our country's economy, culture and its development in health, social and technical fields are supported by the Scientific Research and Development Office.
In our university where there is high research potential, the projects devised by our academic staff in the field of Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Sciences are Comprehensive Research Projects, Participatory Research Projects, Controlled Research Projects, Infrastructure Projects, Industry Cooperation, Thesis and Support Projects. Research proposals are evaluated carefully and accepted by the Commission of Scientific Research Projects comprised of seven faculty members in accordance with the report of at least two advisor members who have been specialized in the relevant field and subcommittees of Medicine and Health, Science and Engineering Sciences, Fine Arts and Social Sciences, and projects are supported upon approval of the Rector.
The Office also supports "Postgraduate Research Projects" conducted by students of specialization in medicine and MS, PhD/Competency in Arts programs carried out by teaching academic staff in institutions of Hacettepe University. All supported projects are monitored by "Progress Reports" by scientific committees until final reports are submitted.
Financial support is provided for patents (patent rights), presentations and scientific articles published in SCI, SSCI ve AHCI Journals including results of projects supported by the Scientific Research and Development Office in order to promote our university in international scientific conventions.
The Scientific Research and Development Office carries out projects supported by the State Planning Organization, Ministry of Industry and Trade (SAN-TEZ), TUBITAK, the European Union and International Organizations.
